Impressive with professional courtesy at all times not just with me the client but anyone within my sphere of influence like neighbours and family etc. they always listened with intent and had a cheerful demeanour as though they actually enjoyed their work. But the crux of all removals is how much care do they take with my possessions ? I felt like they “ owned it”. It looked like they were handling their own stuff; that’s how highly I rated their handling of the move. Very competitive rates too. And they rocked up 5 minutes early! “As we caught the Cockle Train from Victor Harbour to Goolwa (last train of the day and no return) we had to get a taxi back to Victor Harbour. Whilst the taxi did take approx 40 minutes to arrive (which we were told by the operator it would be a 30 minute wait) the driver was super friendly and chatty. We asked about recommendations for dinner and he gave us about 5 different options. We ended up taking his advice and went to the Middleton Tavern and it was great. He also chatted about the local area and gave us some history. Didn't get his name, but thanks!”

We rang needing an urgent cab for our mum to get to the train station as a competitor company we booked through the app kept saying ‘driver unavailable’ (they were ditching a short ride). Suburban did an urgent booking for us and arrived promptly - the man even carried mums bag up to the train platform for her. Great service!”

“Not long ago I randomly hailed a cab from a taxi rank, or maybe it wasn't even an official rank. Either way, it was from Currie Street in Adelaide, early on a Saturday morning, during Fringe, so a busy time. Long story short the driver was not the best kind of moral character going around. I don't know for sure, but maybe due to the extra demand at the time, additional drivers were added to the roster compared to normal. The driver stated up front what the cost would be (I'm not sure if he's supposed to run the meter past midnight or not) and even though the amount he quoted was abnormally high I accepted it, since I wanted to get home. Now, had the driver charged me the quoted amount everything would have been done and dusted and no more story to it, but instead the driver charged an extra $15 on top of the already high amount that he had quoted me moments before and then tried to blame it on "bank processing" fees. I assume he thought that someone that early in the morning had probably had a few drinks and would not notice. Too bad the charge immediately showed on my phone, so I knew what had happened. I called the driver out on the over-charge and he immediately refunded the amount he charged (excluding the 1% credit card fee) in cash and then I paid him the lesser amount he quoted in cash and he took me home. (Probably should have found another cab, but again I wanted to get home). All up not the best customer experience for me, but here's why I am giving 5 stars to the company as a whole. After the above unsatisfactory experience, I immediately made an official complaint to AIT by e-mail with all the details and not only did they pay attention (I was not expecting a reply to be honest), they literally bent over backwards to investigate the issue and make things right. AIT ultimately refunded me an extra $20 that I was not expecting (due to the abnormally high fee) and took action (according to them) against the driver. Given this, I think that this demonstrates that the company itself does care about its customers, even if not every single driver is up to the same standard. Since the company clearly has integrity, I will keep using them. Unbeknownst to the driver, he would have likely been tipped more than he tried to over-charge me, so his loss in more ways than one.”

Arriving on the time booked and for the return trip haven’t been kept waiting too long. “Excellent car service. We used them for a day trip to the Adelaide Hills wine country. They were on time and the car was new and a luxury vehicle. The driver (Paul) was personable, knowledgeable and a very good driver. And we appreciated the helpful suggestions for wineries to visit. We would use them again and definitely recommend them.”
