“What a great place for a quick getaway or a long stay, right in the city, close to everything, The rooms are amazing very comfortable bedding, bathroom very convenient , decent size fridge, awesome views from the balcony, friendly and very helpful staff and professional. My only downside was the lack of information, breakfast and kitchen times and prices being visual when looking around, we inquired about breakfast time's but the time was different on weekdays and breakfast closed at 10.30 ,not 11am ,as on weekends, with no alternative offered, as I'm a guest of the hotel, but all good, so a little bit more information in the lobby, restaurant and definitely the rooms. We will definitely be back”

“From the moment my husband and I walked into the Indigo, we were welcomed like family, the staff were attentive, happy, thoughtful and went above and beyond to give us a comfortable stay, We took part in the ‘chef experience’ with Chef Gabrielle- he was very lovely, Educational and cooked us an exquisite seafood risotto, all while Dean kept refilling our champagne glasses. Breakfast both mornings were fresh, served fast, looked and tasted amazing and the coffee was superb. Thank you to all the staff at the Indigo Hotel, we’ll be recommending and staying again.”

“Fishbank came highly recommended and it did not disappoint! From the second you enter the large doors you’re greeted warmly, seated and waited on consistently. Staff were highly attentive, managing to time their visits to your table perfectly. Staff recommendations for wine pairings and meal preferences were right on the money, and both the food and drinks worked perfectly. My partner’s favourite dish was the prawn and chicken salad followed closely by the Flathead tartare. My favourite dish was the Barramundi by a country mile. One of the most enjoyable experiences we’ve had in a restaurant to date - Thanks to all the staff, and our compliments to the chefs! We will be back very soon!”

“Really fantastic pho, I had a large rare beef, brisket and beef ball pho and it was delicious and very generous. Came out super hot and quick, perfect for a cold almost winter night. I liked the Thai green milk tea as well. Friendly staff and cool decor as well”

“This place is stunningly positioned, with gorgeous views to all angles – our personal favourite on a recent month long road trip across 3 states. The wine is amazing, we tried 4 varieties and loved them all so much that we signed up for monthly deliveries. The food was divine as well, we had a huge, varied and perfectly cooked lunch. Attitude is super relaxed, welcoming and non-pretentious (although it very well could be – their neighbouring, lesser wineries, sure are). Staff are in no rush for you to leave or purchase a lot. It has become my go-to place whenever I want to introduce my friends to the world of Indian cuisine. I've tried various dishes from their extensive menu, and I must say that all of them have been exceptional. The cheese naan, in particular, is one of my favorites. The bread is always freshly baked and has a generous amount of cheese melted on top, making it an excellent accompaniment to any curry. Moreover, their other naan varieties are also equally delightful, and it's hard to pick a favorite. When it comes to their curries, the dosa, butter chicken, and chicken-based curries are my top picks. The flavours are rich and aromatic, and the spices used in each dish are carefully balanced to provide a mouth-watering experience. I have also been told by some regulars that their vindaloo is a must-try for spice lovers. Overall, this restaurant has never failed to impress me with their exceptional food, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service. “A superb dining experience. Our host was kind and helpful and she suggested some dishes for us to try as first time visitors. We had the mixed grill for two and the dessert platter. Just amazing flavours. We finished with the rose tea and we left happy and content. There's a good selection of wines, beers and spirits and the atmosphere was welcoming and warm. You must come here and experience the food and the flavours and perfect customer service”

Hotel itself is well located, close to everything yet very peaceful surroundings. Beds are very comfortable and the showers are fantastic! Great water pressure that makes a huge difference. “We’ve eaten here on numerous occasions, taking the restaurant up on their kids eat free offer on a Thursday night. The food, value & staff are all fantastic. Our family has tried many items from the menu including the steak, pasta, salt & pepper squid salad & the schnitzel & found them all to be great quality & value. If you want a dinner with an amazing view, a relaxed atmosphere & great food, definitely give the park restaurant at Thaxted Golf Club a go, you won’t be disappointed.”
