“From Yvonne This is an honest, heartfelt review of Dr Bev Fosh and her team at all levels. My initial breast cancer diagnosis had changed mine and my family's life in a heartbeat. The fear of the unknown cannot be expressed in words, but from the moment I met Dr Bev Fosh, with my husband present, I have never experienced any medical diagnosis and professional support delivered in such a calm, compassionate and caring way, she addressed my case on that day. Her reassurring manner, empathy and extensive knowledge into breast cancer and the processes that would inevitably follow in the very near future made us both realise in that moment, we had been blessed with the kindest and most caring Breast Cancer Surgeon to take on my case. My particular cancer diagnosis came with a package of unchartered medical complications but I can only express with hand on heart gratitude for the unwavering dedication and medical expertise she gave me, with every test possible explored and making sure nothing was missed, in such a short time before surgery to ascertain the best outcome for me on that day so that I could eventually move forward to a life beyond breast cancer. Dr Bev Fosh even contacted me at home on a Sunday pre-surgery, to convey a test result that came back in a positive way that was life changing for me, so that I indeed did not have to wait longer than necessary for this result. From her amazing PA Julie, who so professionally organised every medical test appointment required for my pre-surgical assessment to be reached, to all the talented and specialised medical staff who assist Dr Bev Fosh in her surgeries at Calvary North Adelaide, and my now appointed post op McGrath Breast Care Nurse Deb and also my oncologist Rohit Joshi, who will continue my care to recovery, have all been organised for me through Dr Bev Fosh's office, leaving me free to focus on the positive outcomes ahead. The Calvary North Adelaide where Dr Bev Fosh operates is an amazing facility with a building block of dedicated staff from all levels of services and medical care that express respect, kindness and the most professional care always shared with a smile, to make sure your stay there is as comfortable as possible. Dr Bev Fosh even met me in the waiting area before I entered theatre on my surgery day with that warm smile and touch to reassure me that she would take the best possible care of me, which made the whole experience on that day a calm and positive one, as I knew I was in the best hands possible. There is not a more specialised and compassionate team who all have yours and your family's wellbeing as their major focus and concern. At any meeting we have undertaken, pre-surgery and now ongoing post-surgery, have always been conducted in such a compassionate and caring manner by Dr Bev Fosh and her team and all avenues of the post-op results and ongoing treatments that are now required, have all been explained in the most understanding way. I feel to rate Dr Bev Fosh a five star is inadequate and I only wish there was a way to express an even higher accolade to this most amazing, warm, compassionate, extremely talented and dedicated surgeon. This in itself is such a rare commodity these days and I only hope that anyone requiring a Breast Cancer Surgeon or indeed a General Surgeon will follow my honest review and contact Dr Bev Fosh and her amazing team and allow them to help you in whatever is required to a positive outcome for the future to one of life's most difficult experiences. “My 95 yr. old mother was referred to the Oncology Clinic at the RAH and our first contact was when Dr. Gonzalo Tapia rang me personally to introduce himself and offer an initial appointment for my mother and I. As a result my mother commenced immunotherapy and we visited the Oncology Clinic at the RAH every 3 weeks for the next 18 months for consultation with Dr Tapia followed by treatment. I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Tapia - he was always on time for appointments, he is extremely professional but also very charming, a kind and supportive person, very understanding and ensured we understood the medical terminology and program that was designed for my mother. He was compassionate but also had a sense of humour which is so important when going through such difficult times. He always greeted us warmly and although my mother suffered from early short term dementia and hard of hearing she enjoyed and looked forward to her regular appointments with him - he made her feel very special. Even between treatments he cared enough to ring and enquire how she was. My mother is now 97 yrs. old is doing very well and the immunotherapy treatment has been very successful - and I am sure she wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the excellent professional care and treatment she received from Dr Tapia and the RAH - BIG THANK YOU CHRIS WHITESIDE OAM”
