One Tree Hill Progress Association
Welcome to the One Tree Hill Progress Association, located at One Tree Hill, Black Top Road, 1009. As a city hall, establishment, and local government office, we are a point of interest in the beautiful hills above Elizabeth/Craigmore, roughly midway between Tea Tree Gully and Gawler. Just 12 kilometers to the north, you'll find Gawler, while Adelaide is approximately 32 kilometers to the south. One Tree Hill is a charming town with a population of around 1200 people, still maintaining its lovely village feel. Here, you can experience the essence of a close-knit community, complete with its own country pub and a small group of local shops. The name "One Tree Hill" originates from a single large gum tree that once stood 3 kilometers from the town center near the original One Tree Hill Inn. Although the tree was sadly burnt down in 1890, five trees were planted around the old tree's location as a commemoration. Today, you can still admire these five trees proudly standing on the corner of Walter Road and Black Top Road.
