“A fine place to visit if you enjoy a good countryside nature walk , take your camera as there is plenty to capture, magnificent scenery, wildlife , blue sky’s with signposts along the way to help you manoeuvre the well walked paths . A small car park is at the entrance with the Forvie Centre building available for visitors though it was closed due to Covid on the day that we visited . The walk is enjoyable though sadly the path is not best for anyone with walking disabilities or indeed suitable for a wheel chair, I have posted a few photos so that anyone preparing to visit can make a judgement before they arrive. It was a bright sunlit day with a wind blowing when we arrived, it certainly felt as if we had completed a good bit of exercise, the dog loved her walk that day too , meeting a few others out with their owners along our journey. In summary , plan ahead if you have not visited before , good parking, a facility to use on site ( closed during Covid lockdown) , signposted well, paths to follow , great scenery, wildlife to watch , dress appropriately as it is out in the country , wear good walking boots or shoes , my iPhone could not receive a signal during various parts of our walk .”

“What can I say, such good fun and not just for kids. Just the two of us, my wife and I big kids at 40 had a fantastic day here whilst up at Aviemore on our Honeymoon adventure. Water slides, sky jumps, aerial assault course to name a few things and Dinsoaurs! A fantastic day out and such good fun. Food was decent too and family priced. We went on a sunny day and it was excellent.”

“Very good stay here. No complaints. Handy for the town (about a 25 minute walk in) as well as for good walks in the area: Loch Muick is good. We were 4 in a suite which was very comfortable.”

“A beautiful public garden surrounded by woods. I was fascinated by the greenery around the park and it's super crowded when there is a program going on. I was attending the BrewDog festival yesterday and the experience was just amazing.”

“Wasnt easy to find this place and has to park next to Ikea and walk through. Modern, clean and great facilities. And there is a parking next to venue. Very kind personnel.”

“Bouldering wall is brilliant. Swimming pool also fantastic, small pool ideal for little ones - it's always nice and warm.”

“The staff here make the place what it is, so attentive kind and supportive of individual client needs. Meldrum house is beautiful inside and out with lovely grounds such an enjoyable afternoon tea. Highly recommend a visit for lunch, a stay or afternoon tea!”

“Great campsite, we stayed 2 nights in November and the lady who we spoke to in reception was lovely. The sight is right beside the pebbled beach and has a short walk into Stonehaven. A good area for site seeing, we walked from campsite to the spectacular Dunnottar Castle which was much quieter as out of season, the food stall In the car park is still open for food and drinks plus toilets too. A 2 minute walk from campsite there is The Bay fish and chip shop also Mollys Cafe Bar which is where we ate, great food and last but not least Aunt Bettys for ice cream. There are plenty choices for food in Stonehaven. The campsite is clean and well looked after, the toilet block has disabled access, toilet reasonably warm inside A small play area for young children I will definitely go back”

“Stayed in Pod 2 for for 3night break with our pup. Pod is ideal for short break as small the park is gorgeous kept really clean. Once dog walk trail at start of park as well as a field for dogs to run free highly recommend”

“We love the Banchory sports village, we go every Saturday for swimming, lovely new building & very well maintained, the staff are friendly enough.”

“Excellent place to go in a get some gardening items. Shrubs to birds seed. Once your done have a look in a their cafe section, friendly staff as always so please be nice.”

“The gym is good, the climbing wall is fantastic too, there is a bouldering room that is good too, the pool aswell as courts it looks small but it is a sports venue that does alot”

“Good parking with toilets and a play area but best of all access to the wonderful Balmedie Beach.”

“The Tennis Club is here as well and if you have wee ones into scate boarding this is the spot to bring them.”

“First time ever being in Smyths. They have such a large selection of Toys and Games. I took my daughter and she was amazed. It is every 3 year olds dream toystore. Everything was very well priced I expected it to be more expensive so it surprised me to see how affordable everything was. The Staff were very friendly and helpful so I will certainly return.”

“I went in with my grandson to use the toilets during a visit to the play park. Glad they are closer than the beach toilets as little ones tend to leave it until the last minute when they're excited & busy playing!”

“This is a fun interesting place to just walk around and enjoy. We only went to the Glen but they do have the den for the young to enjoy too. Took us roughly two hours to walk around. Very enjoyable”
