"Don't bother taking an appointment. It seems to be first come first served. We had an appointment of 6 PM and reached there at 5:57 PM. There was another person in the chamber with the banker who came out at 6:25 and then another person went in ahead of us. We finally got to get in at 6:40. And we were standing all this time because there was just one chair, and it was occupied. Edit: We had clearly told the banker that my wife didn't have an SSN. She opened the bank nonetheless. Then we funded the account. Next day my wife received a call from that banker asking her to withdraw the money as they shouldn't have opened an account without an SSN. Ridiculous! They shouldn't have opened it if they didn't know their own rules. It was unnecessary hassle and wastage of time for us. It was a Saturday when we withdrew our money. They said my wife would receive a call on Monday regarding the next steps. 6 days and no call yet. Such unprofessionalism. We are done with 5/3 bank."
