"Rented car with prepaid $300 to Expedia. The Fox rental car company required a credit card to rent the car, and I only had a debit card that I used for prepay. I had to find a rental car company that would accept a debit card and Expedia refused to issue a refund. After many phone calls, Expedia did finally issue a full refund."

"Highly disappointed! I book a fight and car package through Expedia to get home for a funeral. I chose my flights and then selected a car from the options presented. My flight was scheduled to arrive at 12:40am, I landed on time and gathered my luggage. I then went to the car rental shuttle area only to find out that the rental location closed at 1am! I was literally left stranded at the airport after 1am and had to call an Uber. After contacting Expedia and letting them know what happened, they told me they would reach out to the car rental company and get back to me in 10 days! They came back to say that they couldn't get in touch with the car company and per procedure, they couldn't give me a refund. I explained it was their issue and not the car company, THEY should refund me. I had no idea that the site would let me book a car at a place that wouldn't be open. Its a fix they need to address and they just stopped replying. So I am out $400 for a rental I never used with no resolution. I'm a frequent traveler and they've lost my business and I will be sure everyone knows how I was treated."

"I would recommend not booking any travel with any of the companies owned by the Expedia group. My wife and I are public school teachers. To celebrate a big birthday, an anniversary, and our older daughter turning 18 we booked a dream trip to Australia on Orbitz flying American Airlines. When the trip was cancelled due to Covid we were given $5000 in flight credit. After recovering from Covid we decided to travel to Tampa. I was assured by the agent we would keep the remaining credit. I told the agent directly, I don't want to book this trip if it uses all the credit. Of course, now when we try to use it, Orbitz ways we can't. Their customer service is maddening. In the last month, I've spoken with Mina, David, Mia, Tony, Maria, Edward, NIcky, Kale, Bridget, and Julie. I have 3 case numbers and have received 3 e-mails, each time I'm told to wait 72 hours. I wait 72 hours and nothing happens. The last one was from Javier Vasquez. That was a week ago. $4000 is too much money to just throw away. Hoping a social media campaign will get some action."
