Welcome to Morgan Township Hall, the heart of local government for the vibrant community of Morgan Township, located at 3141 Chapel Road, Okeana, Ohio. Nestled in the southwestern corner of Butler County, our township spans 36 square miles and shares its western border with Indiana. Established in 1811 and named after General Daniel Morgan of the American Revolutionary War, Morgan Township is rich in history and community spirit.
Our township is governed by the Morgan Township Trustees, who meet bi-monthly on the 2nd and 4th Monday. Meetings are held at the Administration Building and are open to the public, with live streaming available on YouTube for those who wish to stay informed from home.
Recycling is a key initiative for us, and we extend our gratitude to residents who utilize the Rumpke recycling bins located at the Administration Building and the Fire House in Shandon. Please remember these bins are for recyclables only, and we urge everyone to refrain from leaving any items on the ground.
Exciting developments are underway at the Morgan Township Community Park. Thanks to funding from the American Rescue Plan Act and generous donations, a walking trail and playground are being developed for all to enjoy. The park has been a community effort with no tax payer money used, and we welcome further contributions through the Hamilton Community Foundation.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 14th, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, for the 8th Annual Morgan Township Fire Department Open House. Join us at 5654 Cincinnati - Brookville Rd. for a day of community engagement and fun.

As election season approaches, early voting begins on October 8, 2024, at the Butler County Board of Elections. In-person voting is on November 5, 2024. After voting, visit the Morgan Township Historical Society's 1858 House Museum for an enriching experience.
