Our mission is to uplift vulnerable women, children, and the elderly by enhancing communities with better healthcare, nutrition, and education.
Our efforts are focused in Uganda, particularly in the Kibuku and Moroto Districts, where we address critical issues such as malnutrition and inadequate maternal healthcare. In the Karamoja region alone, over 89,000 children and 10,000 pregnant or lactating women face acute malnutrition. To combat this, we provide essential nutritional care and support.
Understanding the dire conditions many expectant mothers face, we offer Birthing Kits to those unable to afford basic medical supplies. These kits, featuring flashlights, medical necessities, baby outfits, blankets, and gospel tracts, ensure safer childbirth experiences and reduce the risk of complications that arise from unsafe practices.
In addition to healthcare, we prioritize education on hygiene and sanitation to mitigate the spread of communicable diseases. Our feminine hygiene kits, which include reusable pads, underwear, soap, and washcloths, empower young girls and women to maintain their dignity and health. These kits are thoughtfully packaged in attractive drawstring bags, making them discreet and convenient for school use.
"This Is Hope" also provides emergency medical services, offering transportation, surgical expenses, medication, and follow-up care for children, mothers, and the elderly in urgent situations. We are dedicated to ensuring that the poor have hope and that injustice is silenced.
