Nestled in the serene landscapes of Mercer County, Ohio, the Spiritual Center of Maria Stein offers a tranquil retreat for those seeking spiritual growth and personal reflection. Located at 2365 Saint Johns Road, Maria Stein, Ohio 45860, our center is a place of peace and quiet, just eight miles south of Grand Lake St. Marys. We are proud to expand our reach with a new location in Montezuma, situated beside the beautiful Grand Lake.
Our center, often referred to as the Retreat House, is dedicated to serving individuals, families, parishes, and communities. As Christians, we are guided by our faith in God the Creator, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Through the wisdom of the Catholic Church and the intercessions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we offer opportunities for spiritual enrichment, social development, and community service.
Whether you are here for a retreat, a moment of reflection, or to participate in one of our programs, we welcome you to make this your home away from home. Our facilities are designed to support your journey of faith and personal growth.

"This peaceful, beautiful, clean facility is great for relaxation and reflection. It is inexpensive and the staff is excellent. It is a terrific for a church retreat or just a place for a couple to spend time praying and studying God's Word. My son-in-law and I spent time there in 2021. My wife and I went for a day trip recently and have scheduled a couple of nights there this fall. There will be a group there at the same time, so we will be able to dine with them. All areas are wheelchair accessible. Walking paths are either paved or at least gravel. Both the Spiritual Center and the Shrine are multi level and have elevators."
"This center is located in the perfect spot for a calming time away from the world. 4 of my children have taken a week here to recollect, and love the privacy of having their own room and bathroom, as well as the grounds to walk around in for enjoying peace of nature.
