"My boys went here for over a year. My oldest was harassed and bullied by the same child for well over 6 months. I was finally able to teach him how to communicate (he was 5) about boundaries and why he was so sad everyday. It turned out the kid was pushing, punching, yelling, and kicking my son multiple times per week. After MONTHS of the child being warned I was promised that child wouldn’t be in class with my son. I had to be absurdly persistent. They kept making promises and were kind when we had a financial hardship so we stayed. When they got new staff they didn’t tell them about the bully so they ended up in a room together and sure enough the kid hurt my son again. This happened TWICE with the excuse of “I didn’t know”. I ended up putting my son in karate so he could defend himself. They then kicked the kid out of the daycare because I told them we were leaving. After 6 months of battling with it I thought we were done with it. Not so much. The up and coming director did not like that I was so persistent and had standards for how my kids were treated in their care. There was a misunderstanding about a family member picking my sons up. Understandable, but where they crossed the line was when the teacher was ridiculously rude, talked badly about the family member within earshot, and then lied to her superiors about it all while they were waiting in the lobby. I called the assistant director to let her know we would not be returning and I’d like to pick my kids stuff up. BEFORE I showed up she told me I could come get their things right then. She was supposed to be there but she left. The teacher wouldn’t let me in past the lobby and called the assistant and put her on speaker phone. The asst director told her to let me in and proceeded to beg me (on speaker phone while class room doors were wide open with kids around) not to take my kids out of the program. I told her talking about it in the hall way on speaker was inappropriate and she could call me later. I calmly and quietly waited from my sons things to be brought to me and left. THE ONLY thing I said to the teacher quietly and calmly was “you have no idea how much trouble and drama you have caused by your lack of good judgment.” I didn’t scream or yell but I let her know she screwed me over. The next day they call and tell me if I’m going to come back I have to apologize and cannot a yell at them in the hallways again. First of all I was clear we weren’t coming back (she wanted to talk the next day so I called her) second there’s a huge locking door THEY had to let me in. If I was so out of line why wasn’t I asked to leave or the cops called. Essentially what it was is the director wanted to know why I was leaving so the assistant and the teacher lied to cover their tracks. When Robin and Karen were in charge things were ok. The more Amy (assistant director) took over the more standards slipped. I waited to post because I didn’t want them to retaliate and bad mouth me to other local facilities. I’ve decided I don’t care and that people should know before they take their kids there."
"They do not take time to get to know your child before the judge them or kick them out."
