"Visited for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I went to the early service. It seemed a little rushed, but I enjoyed the service. I felt welcomed by members. However, I left a voicemail to request “ministry” in response to the letter in my welcome packet. I didn’t hear from anyone until about two weeks later, and it was a text message. I think that’s very impersonal. I would have loved to have received a phone call and to have heard a warm, friendly voice on the other end. I felt disappointed. I think it’s also a good idea to be clear on what “ministry” looks like in the welcome letter."
