"Our experience with Car connection of mentor started off well.. but the ending left much to be desired. In the beginning Chace was helpful, providing numerous pictures and answering many questions regarding their Yukon XL for sale. We were purchasing this item from out of state and having it shipped so communication was done over phone and text. We completed the purchase on the phone and then hit a delay due to different car title regulations in each state. Our car sat on their lot for two weeks until it was shipped. During negotiations we had agreed on having the car detailed before shipping (as it hadn’t been cleaned in the listing photos) and Chace originally had said it was done during the week we had purchased it. My car arrived 6/29 and had to be jumped off the delivery truck. It was moved into the driveway and left running to charge the battery. Once we entered the vehicle we were disappointed to discover food, chewed gum, trash, sticky spots, and personal documents from the previous owner still inside. While reaching out to Chace and waiting to hear back we turned the car off and the battery was dead again. It was no longer able to be jumpstarted and we had to go out and purchase and install a new battery day one of having possession. When Chace got back to us he was apologetic about the condition the car had been received in but offered nothing to rectify the problem. We respectfully requested the dealership pay to have it detailed as agreed upon but they told us they were losing money on the sale. Then out of the blue mentioned that we were supposed to pay an additional fee but they had eaten the cost for us.. a fee that was never mentioned to us until we asked for them to have the car cleaned. We never complained about the dead battery on arrival... We just requested a cleaned vehicle which is the bare minimum I would expect from a car dealership. If Car Connection of Mentor reaches out to right this wrong I will edit my review to reflect that but as of right now we’ve been left on read."
