"Really enjoy this trail. Began this day at the Aborgast parking lot on the edge of Merrillville and Griffith. From this point you can go east on the Oak Savannah Trail or remain north heading toward Highland, Munster and beyond. Love that it is a more urban trail from this point. Rolling past homes, schools, businesses. While there are many street crossings the towns have done a good job with safety at these crossings. Many lunch options along the way. Had Langel's pizza"

"The path is well maintained and quite enjoyable. It was a perfect day weather-wise in late September and consequently there were no parking spots on the Crown Point end of the trail. But there was parking by the government center building."

"Love this trail! Nothing too steep, but offers a great workout or a nice leisurely ride. It connects to several other trails, which offers 82 miles between the Erie Lackawanna, Oak Savanah and Dunnes Prarie trails (if done in a loop) The southern half of the trail has fresh pavement and I'm hoping the northern half will be done at some point, cause it gets If you're into the bike 'n brew rides, there are several breweries, including 18th Street Brewing in Hammond, just off the most northern trailhead."

"Variety of places to visit along this trail. Good with bikes, skates, boards. Besides a few bumps that could be smoothed out if someone would put a little money in. Then it could be smooth and people would come around more. (bumps from tree-roots along this trail are hiding in shadows when riding through the woods, so be careful, they come out of nowhere)"

"I really enjoy walking this trail quite often; usually during my lunch break. The last time I was there the caretakers were planting trees and making sure that the trail was clean and well kept. It's an open and public trail and I feel safe walking it by myself."
