Founded by Mike and Dawn, Hometown Bagel was born from a passion for quality and a dream to share the best bagels with the world.
Our journey began in Hometown, Illinois, where Mike and Dawn first opened their doors, with Mike crafting the perfect bagels and Dawn welcoming customers with a smile. Named after our first location, Hometown Bagel quickly became a beloved local spot. With determination and a pair of "selling shoes," Mike ventured beyond the retail shop, leaving samples all across Chicagoland, and soon, our bagels made their way into grocery stores and cafes across the Midwest.
For nearly three decades, our commitment to quality, affordability, and exceptional service has fueled our growth and success. Hometown Bagel is truly a family affair, with all four of Mike and Dawn's children and many close friends joining the team to help expand our offerings and reach.
In June 2022, we proudly moved into our new facility here in South Chicago Heights. This state-of-the-art location has not only streamlined our production processes but also provided the capacity needed for future growth and innovation.
