"My grandparents Wesley and Irma Higginbothan r.i.p owned and operated Wes's 66 a filling station at this location where they also lived their home on site right next to the station and that was my first place of employment. I remember cleaning the lot, pumping gasoline, running money from the station to the house so my granny could make change. Then at the end of the day I would get paid and run directly across the blacktop "st./rd." to the a bar locals/we called "the front" aka as a "tavern" back then. I never went inside I was too young but outside in front was active. Everybody was drinking, smoking, gambling, everybody sitting on car hoods, trunks blaring music and I would be getting fucc'd up right there in the front at "the front". Anyways that was a long time ago 80's and 90's."
