Magnolia Inn - Kingsland, GA

"Flooring in room 119 was curling. It appeared that it had been flooded from the bathroom or when mopped it was over saturated and ruined the flooring. The room also had a very slight tinge of mustiness. I couldn't call the front desk since the phone did not work, dead as a door nail. I would have walked to the front desk and complained but I was too tired and just wanted sleep. I did report it to the front desk and shared photos with them. They stated they would report it to the manager. I also canceled my return stay. The best I can say is the staff was very courteous, the cost of the room was under $60."

"Have stayed a couple times in the past month and price is reasonable. Staff very polite. Room clean and beds are comfortable.."

"Ok we will start with me and my family getting to the room. We opened the door and the first thing we notice is the room smells like weed. And then we started noticing how in disrepair the room was in the paint was peeling off the door . half the plugs did not work. We went to get showers and when we turned the water on the faucet handle came off in your hand and the drain plug wouldnt stay up so you had to wedge it up so the tub would drain. The remote was missing its battery cover. The a/c unit brought the smells from outside in ecspecially when the guy from the next room was outside smoking weed in front of our window. Now we get to the cleanliness of the room. There was what looked like a drink spilled down the side of the dresser that hadnt been cleaned up from the previous customer. There was spots where stuff had been spilled on the floor. The shelfs in the little mini kitchen had bits of food and crumbs in them the fridge and freezer were filthy and it had a weird smell to it. I'm sorry i didn't get a picture of that. The sheets had a pinkish stain on them where someone had spilled something on them. Now to the comfort portion of the room the chairs were not comfortable they we like sitting on boards. The beds were as hard as a rock. The towels were very rough and they smelled like crayons. The lightbulbs in the lamps were so bright when they were turned on it hurt your eyes. The pillows were very thin. Now onto the service portion. The front desk was rude and wouldn't listen i went up there to get more towels and washcloths and he didn't want to give me anymore than the 2 that were in the room. Even though the room was booked for 4 people i had to explain this to him twice. When i finally was able to convey to him that there was 4 people he demanded to know the room number so he could make sure what i was telling him was true. The so called continental was an absolute joke it was mini donuts and mini muffins and when i was up there at 7:30 am there was no coffee or juice or anything. So wrapping up the room was dirty, uncomfortable, and the service was terrible. This hotel is definitely not a family friendly environment will definitely not be staying here again."

"Worst experience ever! I decided to book a room for the night during a road trip with my fourteen year old and eight month old on our way to miami International Airport. At first glance, the room seemed clean and calm However, the lock on the door was broken, and right outside of the door was a big bloodstain, indicating the likeliness of someone breaking into that room. However, it seemed pretty calm enough to get some sleep. Boy, was I wrong. There was a door to an adjoining room with a lamp in front of it, and my 14 year old son moves in a sleep and his head hit the headboard and some crackhead from next door I don't know if he was a crackhead or an alcoholic or just absolutely insane. He started shaking the doorknob to the adjoining room, scaring us and threatening us that he was gonna come in because my kid made some noise in his sleep. I called 911 and explained the situation to the police. And then I didn't hear anymore from that man in the room After cops intervened.. However, it was just distasteful unsettling and scary for the kids. My infant was woken up in the middle of the night by some lunatic who is entitled and thinks that he owns the entire hotel. America is wild ( and not in a good way). I didn't even bother checking out we just left the next morning. NEVER AGAIN. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. I am so grateful to be back in Argentina!"

"For a budget hotel (using the coupon) it was a decent place to stay while travelling through. We were in a recently updated room in which the bed was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. The floor was laminate which I appreciated! Slept well and both the person working checkin and the owner at checkout were kind and courteous."
