"I hiked this trail on MLK holiday on a cold day with an impending snow storm about to hit. I never knew this hike existed until I did a google search for hiking trails in Salem NJ. It's just outside of Alloway and is a very easy figure 8 loop trail with very little elevation changes, just a few small gentle hills. It was extremely quiet with only the sound of a few brave wintering song birds. I had the entire less-than-3-mile trail to myself. The remnants of several days of rain left a few spots on the wide path (dirt road) flooded out that had to be navigated, but I'm sure they are not normally there in the warmer months. There is a very large parking lot. I was able to take a few worthwhile landscape photographs in areas where the trees have not overtaken the open areas where the golf course once existed."
