Budget Truck Rental New Jersey 38, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002

"Do not rent from here! UNSAFE TRUCKS! 1. Check Trans light is on and transmission is slipping. 2. Exhaust light is on dash. 3. When I hit a bump the dash came off on passenger side exposing wires. 4. Passenger side window will not roll up 5. Drivers side door and passenger side door of cab will not lock 6. Car charging port for cell phone in cab does not work 7. Hand truck I rented has a busted buckle so you cannot secure items to hand truck also strap is half shredded. 8. Only 1 head light works I was pulled over in South Carolina and Georgia for it, both officers only gave me warnings. But obviously was an inconvienance. 9. The brakes are very spongy feels like you can barely stop the truck 10. Could only get to around 50mph on inclines and around 63 mph on flat surfaces most of the trip. 11. I put 5 full tanks of diesel fuel to get from nj to fl. 240 gallons so I know something us very wrong with engine or Trans or both. In summary overall it was a really bad experience and the truck is not road worthy at all. I am not stramger to using and driving box trucks, this truck is not safe. I am sending this email for your records and hopefully you can speak to customer service and the drop off dealers to verify I am taking pictures and videos as well for evidence in case corporate wants it."

"Worst place ever to rent a truck, this budget location lives up to the name budget. Rented a truck and mostly the entire time driving from Philadelphia to Florida it was raining waterfalls inside the cab an entire 16 1/2 hours of 18hrs of driving. Poor customer service and owner of this location knew the cab was cracked after me signing paperwork but never mentioned that it was going to be raining waterfalls inside the cab while raining outside 98% of the ride. I rented the truck a month in advance. $2500 of being ripped off on renting a piece of junk truck. I advise to pay extra money to a different truck rental company rather then being robbed for your money. Worst company plan and simple"

"First experience - Lance, the owner, is an absolute gentleman and has been doing this for 40 years, old school service you won’t get from other places. highly recommend anyone looking to rent a car from rent a wreck or his budget selection to feel confident. I rented a transit van from him as I move books professionally and move thousands of pounds of books at a time. The transit 150 van drove well before and after being loaded. I will absolutely be renting from him every time I need a van."

"I rented a few cars from budget and never had a problem, I recently rented a moving truck and packed boxes along the back and when I got to my new place my boxes were all wet and some items in the box had water on them. I told them when returning the truck and they said I should of got insurance and there is nothing they could do. I can understand if boxes moved around during the drive but you would just think that the trucks would be waterproof since they are used for transporting personal items. I was discouraged about how they handled the situation because I should not have to get insurance for thinking that my stuff would not get wet being secure within the truck."
