About the Business

St. Marys Railroad Express

Welcome to St. Marys Railroad Express, your gateway to a unique and captivating journey through history and scenic beauty. Located at 440 South Lee Street, Kingsland, Georgia, just 2 miles west of I-95, our historic venue offers an unforgettable 80-minute train experience that combines entertainment, relaxation, and a touch of nostalgia.

Step aboard one of America's oldest privately owned shortline railroads at Kingsland Station, where your adventure begins. As you travel through local neighborhoods and the bustling commercial district of Kingsland, you'll catch glimpses of Georgia's picturesque marshlands before reaching a working rail yard in St. Marys, GA. Enjoy themed rides like the Wild West Train Ride, the Survivors Train (Zombie Train), and the beloved Santa Special, or simply sit back and enjoy the ride. Our open-air rail cars provide a unique vantage point for all our excursions.

Proceeds from your journey support the Florida Georgia Railway Heritage Museum, a nonprofit organization committed to preserving railroad history through education and entertainment. Please note that all sales are final, and the train runs rain or shine, so come prepared and dress comfortably for the weather. Our historical railcars are not equipped with restrooms and are ADA inaccessible due to their antique nature.

Built in 1915, our venue has a rich history as a former sawmill factory and church. We are currently transforming this space into a fabulous event venue. Click HERE to follow our progress and discover more about our exciting plans.

Please arrive 15 minutes before departure to ensure a smooth boarding process. During your visit, you might encounter our staff photographers capturing moments to promote future events. If you prefer not to have your likeness used, kindly inform one of our team members.

Join us at St. Marys Railroad Express for a journey that promises history, adventure, and lasting memories. All aboard!

"Our first trip was taking our grands on the Cottontail Easter train. They absolutely had a blast. It was definitely fun for all ages. We wish there was a longer adventure offered. But we were very happy with our experience and will definitely be back!"

"A nice little train ride. Kids loved seeing the town roll by and the wide west show was low budget cheesy fun. Definitely coming but for their other holiday themed events"

"Great ride, we had great weather for the open cart. It was not crowded on a Saturday at 2. My twin 4 year olds enjoyed themselves!"

"OMG it was so much fun!! Definitely a must do for Abby she group. I went with my two little ones (2&1) for a train ride and ended up having a full out blast!! We signed up for the coastal experience but ended up upgrading to the 80s karaoke and glad of it! Both would have been great but the rain stopped us from being able to go outside and the music was calling! It was definitely a time to remember with great people, staff, snacks, scenery, and music! Definitely going again!"
