"ZERO STARS. got a flat on my ebike this morning when I rode over a four-inch screw six miles from work. Pushed a 90lb bike almost two miles to the bike REPAIR shop. Asked the guy in the shop if he had an innertube for my size bike, and could he swap it out for me so I can get to work. He says, “sorry pal you’re going to have to leave it overnight.” “But I have to get to work, I’m going to be late. Are you sure? It’ll take 10 minutes tops.” “I got a bunch of bikes ahead of yours so you’ll have to leave it.” “Ok, well how about you sell me the inner tube, and let me use your tools so I can swap it out. All I need is a crescent wrench and a pair of levers.” “I’m not letting you touch my tools.” “What? I’ll do it right here in front of you, I’ll pay you to use them.” No answer, walks back into his shop. The rudest, most unhelpful bike shop manager I have ever encountered in my life and I’m 52 years old. [Sure, I’m the dummy for having left the house without a patch kit. But this is what bike repair shops are for, aren’t they?]"
