Our Services

The Magistrate Court has jurisdiction over a variety of cases, including:

- Civil claims of $15,000 or less

- Landlord/tenant disputes, including dispossessory proceedings

- Issuance of arrest and search warrants

- Preliminary hearings

Please note, the Magistrate Court does not conduct jury trials and is not a court of record. Appeals in civil cases are directed to the Superior and State Courts.

Landlord-Tenant Disputes

We offer guidance for landlord-tenant disputes, including eviction proceedings. Tenants served with a Dispossessory Affidavit have seven days to respond. Our Magistrate Court Guide and File system assists users in drafting necessary documents.

Abandoned Motor Vehicle Claims
