About the Business

St Joseph's Church

Welcome to St. Joseph's Church, a vibrant and welcoming place of worship located at 106 North Meramec Avenue in Clayton, Missouri. As a cornerstone of the local community, St. Joseph's serves as a beacon of faith, education, and compassion, inviting all to join in its mission of spiritual growth and community service.

At St. Joseph's, we are proud to host the regional Parish School of Religion (PSR) program, dedicated to providing religious education and formation for grade school-aged students. Our program welcomes children from various educational backgrounds, including private Catholic, private non-Catholic, and public schools, helping them prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation. Our mission is inspired by St. Joseph, who played a pivotal role in the formation of young Jesus, and we strive to emulate his guidance and wisdom in nurturing our youth.

As we embrace the spirit of Labor Day, we reflect on the value of both civic and spiritual labors. Inspired by our patron, St. Joseph the Worker, we encourage dedication not only to our daily work but also to the work of love and faith within our families and community. This Labor Day, we extend blessings to all, reminding ourselves of the importance of building strong families, communities, and nations through our efforts.

We also celebrate the generosity and service exemplified by St. Louis, our city's namesake, who devoted his life to aiding those in need. In his spirit, we recently collected $9,019 to support the Sisters of Mater Dei Africa in Tanzania, contributing to the construction of a well and the betterment of their community. This act of charity underscores our commitment to the universal Catholic Church and our brothers and sisters worldwide.

We warmly invite you to become part of our parish family. Whether you're new to the area or simply seeking a spiritual home, we welcome you with open arms. Please feel free to contact our parish office at (314) 726-1221 or visit us to learn more about our community and register as a parishioner.

Join us in our journey of faith and service, as we follow the example of St. Joseph and St. Louis, embracing a life of compassion, generosity, and love. Saint Joseph, Saint Louis, pray for us.

"Lovely welcoming Catholic place to worship. Weekday Mass. I always find a place to park. Handicapped friendly, they even have an elevator to the kitchen down stairs."

"Went to a prayer service there. Beautiful old church. Church parking is free in the back on the north side of the church. Parking in Clayton can be difficult during weekdays."

"Beautiful older Catholic Church in downtown Clayton. I recommend the Catholic Men for Christ meetings the 2nd Thursday of every month. Starts with 6:30 Mass and then s short presentation by the Rector of Kenrick Seminary. Usually over by 7:35 so you can get to work."

"We felt truly taken care of during the entire year of preparation for the sacrament of matrimony. We will be forever grateful to Karen, Fr. Bené, Dr. Fahrig, Nori and Amy! Thank you!"
