"Unless you are in an emergency avoid at all costs. The wait here is ridiculous and the staff at the front desk are some of the most rude people I have met in my life. They have no care about your health and your time. The staff when you get back to a room is not much better. They take their time with everything. I do understand that when something comes in and people are in a more dire need it makes sense but when you are one of the few in the ER at this time, it is uncalled for. We waited over 3 hours for care plus the 2 hours in the waiting room. The excuse was they were cleaning. I should have cleaned it since I can do that in a much faster pace. We should have waited to go to Urgent Care at QMG the next morning. At least they care about their patients. This place needs new staff an overhaul in the design. Blessing keeps wanting to build new buildings and expand. But they cannot even fix the stuff they have first. Sad it used to be so much better. P.S. if you are in an emergency just have Air Evac Fly you to Barnes Jewish in Saint Louis or St Johns in Springfield. You would be so much better off. This place is only here to take the money ."

"You are better off going to Hannibal, MO for any emergencies. After that go to Barnes in Stl. Blessing will only put you in debt. They have been milking the elderly of this community for far too long. They charge TRIPLE of what Barnes does for many of the exact same procedures. Look up cat scans and X-ray prices and look at what machines they are using. Seriously, who wouldn’t drive a total of 4 hours to save two thousand dollars and have better service? Blessing is taking advantage of people, plain and simple."

"On almost every account I can think of just horrible. The doctors show up once a day, they don't get important lab tests done for days, and no one ever seems to know what is going on. The only acceptable part of this hospital is the friendly nurses, however, niceness does not make up for a general lack of knowledge and disorganization."

"I wish I could give 0 star. We visited the hospital for my 1.5 year baby throat checkup and we have to wait at every single step especially for the X ray for more than 3 hours,after which they requested to take one more x ray shot because the previous one was not very readable. By the time our baby slept and we denied it as he was doing good .No update at any point of time what the progress was.Pathetic service and terrible experience at 2 AM in the night."

"I saw a bad review for Blessing Hospital and I'm sorry for that person's experience. My experience however has been the opposite. My mother was admitted to ICU obviously in critical condition. I have been here by her side for a week and have met many of the staff. Blessing Hospital must employee at least a thousand people. And I'm Amazed of what percentage of those are just great loving, caring, educated, professionals! From the nursing staff I've received so much support! They have made sure I understand everything that is happening with my mother from day one till till now. When I break down with tears the staffs Hearts have gone out to me with hugs and sympathy. When I was out for lunch I came back and nurse Lisa had painted my mother's nails for her! Nurse Lisa, Christina, Tracy, and Claudia as well as all the respiratory therapist and whole staff all deserve 5 Star reviews! Thank you Blessing Hospital for the extraordinary care you're giving my mother, and for helping me cope with every step of the way!"
