"I can not review the preaching of this church, but I can tell about this church's willing need to be Christ's hands and feet. In a time of year of sickness they did not run and hide from being a center of the community. They were more than welcoming to our homeschool band, strings, and chorus during the 2019-2020 school season when other colleges and churches refused to let us use their building for classes. While we were there we got to see them do several community out reach projects. I got to over hear the volunteers talk several times and they were not scared of getting sick, but trusted God would care for them. They just wanted to help people and show them Christ's love. If I didn't already have a church home we would definitely try them out because of how welcome and caring I got to see them be when they didn't realize I was watching."
"Loving God, loving others. This is the motto that Sherwood Forest Baptist Church follows. Pastor Chris Hayes is down to earth and shows his love for God and his creations. This is an extremely accepting church which literally welcomes new people with open arms. There is always a seat for you at Sherwood! This church cares about it's city and the people in it. Pastor Matt Green leads the youth ministry, which is an impressive group of budding young, enthusiastic ladies and gentlemen. Come join us at 10:45 am on Sunday! Bible study groups start at 9:30 am and Sunday prayer service is at 6:00pm. The church is located at 1 Goodman Road in Rome, Georgia."
