"TRUST THE REVIEWS! They will profile you and get you, if you're not paying attention. Rented the vehicle for TWO weeks and after returning the very next day I was charged an additional fee for excessive cleaning. When I asked for proof, I was sent photos of another vehicle that wasn't the one I rented and called them out on it. This location thrives off additional charges and the excessive fees as I'm sure they receive 100% of the stated amount. I had to call corporate Avis to dispute further, (1-800 number on receipt because Brenda is obviously the franchise owner) and retrieve pictures of what excessive cleaning meant. Every rep I spoke with agreed that this wasn't excessive garbage (which was what the report stated). Do your self a favor and stay away if you can, but if not TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING AND EVERYWHERE. Wait 48 hours then call to report your issues because the location will override corporate and again get you when you're not paying attention. I'm not even a review person, plus I'm on vacation writing this report which is sad. Sorry for not picking up the top, dusting the dashboard, and vacuuming out the grass for my TWO WEEK reservation. Didn't know it would cost me $245. STAY AWAY, TRUST ME!"

"I rented a truck from Avis, Tuesday, May Seventh to be returned Wednesday, May 8. I went into the location, signed my rental agreement, and it was given the keys to the truck. Nobody walked outside with me to go over the damage that was on the vehicle or to look inside the vehicle with me which I’ve never had happened before. But I’ve never rented from this location before. When I went and inspected the vehicle myself, there was so much damage to the outside that I walked back inside and asked them if somebody was going to walk around the vehicle with me and they said no they were aware of the damage. So I took a video of the whole outside of the truck , and then I took pictures once I got inside the truck because the inside of the truck was disgustingly dirty. There was cigarette ashes, food, crumbs, soda, spilt in The cupholders the windows were dirty. It obviously hadn’t been cleaned in many many months. I’ve tried to contact the location twice regarding the holds that they’ve placed on my credit card. The first transaction was for the amount of the deposit as well as the rental. $264 with 200 of it being returned upon returning the car. Now there’s another charge on my credit card for $105 from the same Avis location for no reason and no explanation and no authorization. Their customer service has been Anything but helpful or of service. I want an explanation as to why they fraudulently charging my credit card. Why was the truck so dirty when I rented it? And why are they trying to make me pay for it? UPDATE 5/20/24 after being charged $325 cleaning fee and after speaking with Avis customer service multiple times just to get the runaround. I decided to head back to Avis and see how clean the filthy truck that I rented was now that I was charged $305 to clean it. I took more pictures of the vehicle. It was still sitting in the same parking spot that it was in when I returned it. It was just as dirty as it was the day that I rented it. They hadn’t even taken it and washed it. I couldn’t see the inside, only the outside of the vehicle. But if they’re charging the cleaning fee, they would clean the whole vehicle right? So now I believe that this location does this to numerous people as some people probably don’t pay attention to their credit card statements. She is fraudulently charging people for a cleaning fee when she’s renting dirty vehicles to begin with, but then charges them the cleaning fee and not cleaning the truck. It should be prosecutable and I’m still trying to find out if it is. The lady who was at that location also works out of the Mexico Road budget rental car location in Saint peters Missouri. I wonder how many people she’s charged a cleaning fee to and never got the vehicle cleaned? And why do they let this woman go from rental car agency to rental car agency doing this? I feel that woman needs to be fired, and if I can have her prosecuted, I will."

"A million times better than enterprise. I had a reservation through enterprise and when i show up they tell me they have no cars until the next day? Multiple people in line having the same issues. Don’t know why they’re booking people when they have no cars. Decided to call avis cause it was nearby the enterprise i went to and they got me a car right away no problems. Enterprise also charges a $300 deposit and avis is only $200. The car is really nice too. Also forgot the name of the guy who helped me but he was super nice and helpful!! Will be back thank you so much!!"

"I’ve read reviews regarding being overcharged but wasn’t fully aware because it wasn’t something I experienced previously. However, after my recent rental, I checked my transaction on my credit card and realized I was charged $422.75 rather than $149.66. I called and I was told that (his manager) charged me a cleaning fee. The amount he mentioned didn’t even add up to the total. Mind you, when I got the car, it was filthy, wasn’t washed/cleaned and smelt like weed & cigarette. It also had visible stains both on the chair and floor. I didn’t complain because I was in a rush and preferred that particular vehicle. To be charged such fee without any communication does not make sense to me. Moreover, I did bring the car in good condition. Also I was told to bring it back in full tank, which I did. **UPDATE** I just checked my account and just saw I was charged ANOTHER fee of $450. Avis why?!?! Stop charging my card ridiculous amount! DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION!"
