Located at 3 Government Plaza in Rome, Georgia, the Floyd County Sheriff's Office is dedicated to serving and protecting the citizens of Floyd County. As your newly elected Sheriff, it is both an honor and a responsibility to ensure the safety and security of our community, while upholding the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States.

Our Mission

As the Chief Constitutional Law Enforcement Officer of Floyd County, I am committed to addressing the needs and concerns of both our office and the community. With over 26 years of experience in law enforcement, beginning as a jail officer in 1995, I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience that have prepared me for my role as Sheriff. Our team of 162 dedicated employees works tirelessly to provide professional and responsible services, including court security, jail management, and the execution of arrest warrants and civil processes.

Community Engagement and Initiatives

The Floyd County Sheriff's Office is actively involved in the community, particularly with our youth and seniors. We recognize the importance of addressing current issues such as violence, drugs, mental health, and the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19. By collaborating with the community and other agencies, we aim to enhance safety and wellbeing for all residents.

Our Focus Areas

During my campaign, I emphasized four key areas to improve our community: building relationships, reducing recidivism, recruiting and retaining professional staff, and maintaining fiscal responsibility. I remain steadfast in my commitment to these goals, working to create a safer and more connected Floyd County.
