Christ the Servant Anglican Church

Welcome to Christ the Servant Anglican Church, a vibrant and welcoming community located at 17 Pennington Avenue Southwest, Rome, Georgia. We are a congregation of compassionate disciples of Jesus, dedicated to living out His teachings and participating in the renewal of all creation. At Christ the Servant, we strive to bring God's kingdom to our local community, fostering reconciliation and healing through the love and grace of Jesus.

Our church is nestled in South Rome, where we serve as a healing presence in a systemically marginalized community. We share our space with Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and gather on Sunday afternoons at 4 PM for an evening prayer service, followed by a free, family-style dinner. Our doors are open to everyone, whether you're a committed Christian or simply curious about faith. We welcome individuals and families from all walks of life, eager to connect and grow together.

Through our evening prayer services, shared meals, and small groups, we create opportunities for meaningful life-on-life encouragement and spiritual growth. We are committed to practicing acts of justice and mercy, aiming to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community, bringing healing and restoration wherever we go.

Our younger members are also an integral part of our community, participating in evening prayer and enjoying dedicated time for devotions and play. All of our childcare workers and volunteers are thoroughly trained with MinistrySafe, ensuring a safe environment for all children.

As part of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), we embrace a casual and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you prefer jeans, shorts, skirts, or dresses, come as you are and feel comfortable in our community.

Join us from 4-5:30 PM for an evening prayer service that includes worship, prayers, scripture, and a short sermon with group discussion. During this time, children have their own space for play and learning. At 5:30, we come together for dinner, sharing stories and catching up on our weeks.

We invite you to partner with us financially as we continue to share the hospitality and rest of God’s kingdom in Rome. Christ the Servant is a place where we highlight the life and teachings of Christ, seeking the good of others first and foremost, as illustrated in Philippians 2.

Our lead pastor, Tyler, guides our Sunday gatherings with warmth and insight. Alongside his wife Jenny, Tyler has made Rome his home since their time at Berry College. Pastor Jon, who also serves as a professor at Berry College, is passionate about bringing healing and reconciliation to Rome. Both pastors are dedicated to nurturing our community and spreading the love of Jesus.
