She is professional - going above any medical standard we experienced - we were previously in the medical system until 28 weeks with 2 OBGYN’s and 2 different hospitals and far from feeling safe or respected. She was experienced enough to give us the reality as she had seen it with 40+ years of experience across the country while still holding us gently in our fears as first time parents in our 40’s. During the birthing portal she was calm, collected, wise and knew how to break up the tension with laughter while all the whole checking baby’s heartbeat and suggesting poses and positions to support my process. I felt comfortable and at ease in her experience and presence. I felt seen with my requests and we worked together when the birthing got challenging. At the times i through I was going to break she reminded me of my intentions and it made me strong enough to persevere for my natural home birth in my full sovereignty. With Janet’s coaching I had no rips or tears and healed in 72 hours without even needing any of the stuff I had bought for pain/discomfort. Postpartum she answered the phone with every ridiculous question and worry I was able to come up with, which was far beyond her duties as a midwife. I am beyond grateful to Janet for our first born child to come to this world in such a beautiful, sacred and profound way. We will remember Janet and tell our child the story of her birth with reverence and joy. We hope to know Janet not only deliver rest of our children yet to remain in our lives as a friend, Wisdom keeper and inspiration."

"I used Janet as my home birth midwife for my third baby. This was my first home birth. During our initial meeting Janet explained the process and all of the safety/health equipment she brings and what would happen if for some reason there was an emergency situation. I felt very comfortable with her 30 years of experience. Janet is always available by call or text to answer any of your questions or concerns. Her office is a very comfortable setting that makes prenatal appointments seem as if you are important instead of just another patient. She takes the the time to listen to any questions or concerns. During the home birth we were able to use thr birth pool she provided. The list of items we needed for the homebirth was small and rather inexpensive. Janet has a calm demeanor about her and I never felt scared or worried during my homebirth. She listens to your birth plan. My home birth went great and it was awesome having someone come to your home 3 times after the birth to check in on you. Even after the home birth Janet remains available to answer any concerns you have during the postpartum period. Janet is a competent and experienced midwife who helped make my home birth a great success. I wouldn't have changed anything about it."
