"What is the purpose of having parking enforcement if you guys close your office pretty much at 4:30 in the day since City Hall closes at that time, but we have signs posted throughout the neighborhood till 7 PM or later or nothing at all like street cleaning day Wednesdays no one told us that when we moved in. But the kicker of all things that really upset me is I have a fire in my front yard on ny property. Does anyone actual oblige the fire hydrants is even there nope do many cars park there knowing the city won’t do anything Yep, do they ever get ticketed? Nope have I gotten ticketed at least five times in the six years I’ve parked there for less then 10 mins yep so why don’t you do your job and paint the curbs red in the neighborhood from Bellflower bed to Clark, we have at least one hydrant for every block and last time I checked, we couldn’t park within 15 feet of either end of that since that was one of our driving test question we had to answer in order to get our driving license so why don’t your actual job city of Lakewood"

"Street Sweeping is a joke. even if you prove you couldn't move your car they don't care. Bunch of heartless scum. City of Lakewood doesn't care about you they just want a way to have more of your money."

"What an unexpected surprise to witness a man repairing the big dent on Autry, at the intersection Hedda/Autry! Every time we drive on this spot we would pick a different route to avoid driving on it because the car would jump no matter how slowly we try and drive. We were hoping one day it would be fixed. The guy who was fixing it was pleasant and friendly!"

"Beautiful parks and currently celebrating the city's 70th anniversary. There is no other city as beautiful or well maintained as Lakewood. Our city is perfect for raising a family and attending any of the six surrounding school districts found across the city. Lakewood truly is treasure."

"City council is insane. Good luck getting a building permit with all the hoops and fees they require. By the time you learn of everything they require, you could have rebuilt the Long Beach Towne Center. And for less money. Blaming it all on the State is pathetic, when they have far easier and cheaper ways to comply. Most other Cities in this same State are not getting such enormous kick backs from the Waste Suppliers and other municipal utilities which makes living in a neighboring City far less expensive and safer than the once beautiful City of Lakewood."
