"How this place can have a 5 rating, doesn't make sense to me. It's been less than 5 years after my breast cancer surgery, and I am ignored. Since one of the best doctor's I have ever seen (Dr. Ma) left, they don't seem to care about the patients. Last year, I complained that no one would see me, after three years of the cancer experience and they got me in. Again, 4th year, and nothing, nada. They seem to be okay when you are bring lots of money in, but after that, you are on your own (my experience). This is so discouraging. If you can go to nicer and more caring doctors - go there! Scripps using fancy booklets and pamphlets to advertise their services but when it comes down to dealing with the ongoing health issues, they are nowhere."

"For the past 30 years I've been a patient of the VA Healthcare System . I've received excellent care there over the years however when I was diagnosed having MDS at the VA Oncology / Hematology Clinic I decided to visit the Scripps Prebys Cancer Center for a second opinion . I had a consult with Dr. Marin Xavier , a renowned cancer specialist , and later visited the Center . It was state of the art and made the VA Oncology Hematology Clinic look like a Free Clinic . I have been receiving infusions at the infusion center for over a year . Dr. Xavier's prescribed treatment differed from the VA since the VA has restrictions placed on it . Under Dr. Xavier's care I am now in complete remission and feeling great . I also give a 5 star rating to the nurses at the infusion center . I also found out that Scripps / MD Anderson Cancer Research Centers are considered the best in the United States . My prayers go out to everyone having to undergo a similar difficult period in their lives ."
