"I absolutely LOVE Dr. Cohen. He takes the time to listen and talk through everything without making you feel foolish. I definitely recommend him. However, please be prepared/make sure you have the funds to pay the no-show fee, even in emergencies. I had to take my partner to the ER which unfortunately happened about 1.5 hours before my appointment. I respect that this fee is put in place for a reason and I am paying it, but it was really disheartening to get a, (no exaggeration) "I'm sorry that's just our fee" when asking the person on the phone if there was a way to waive it considering the circumstances were out of my control. I have been in the financial spot where that extra $50 is vital to staying afloat so this is mostly a disclaimer for those in that financial situation, to prepare for this even in emergency situations."

"Dr Cohen was my 6th Dr to say yes you have Orthostatic Hypertension. No other dr would even consider it. They all blamed my medications. He figured it out within 2 visits."

"I decided to start seeing Dr. Cohen after recommendations from people in my neighborhood and also my PCP to treat my chronic migraines. I’m really glad that I found him and the practice because I had a really stressful time treating my migraines at Rush and although Dr. Cohen is affiliated with Rush, he is an independent practitioner. I truly feel like the care at a smaller individual practice is a much better experience than at a huge hospital where information can be lost through the cracks. In my appt, I actually found out that the preventative migraine medication combo I have been taking for 1+ years is not a good combo to take. My old neurologist also told me that “we were running out of options” if my migraines got worse and it really made me feel hopeless about treatment options and finding relief. I came into my appt with Dr. Cohen yesterday and he told me I have MANY options I haven’t tried yet and he was already thinking of what my options are for next steps. I already feel much better about the future knowing that there are still options for me. I also got the Botox treatment for migraines at Rush last year and after insurance coverage, my bill was like $800 (I stopped after my first session due to the cost). But Dr. Cohen informed me of a Botox Savings Program where you can get your treatments paid for by the manufacturer (would have been nice to know before Rush sent me to collections). Needless to say, I learned a lot of things in my first appointment and I’m very much looking forward to locking down a treatment plan with Dr. Cohen as I feel very confident in his knowledge and ability as a provider (I have truly only heard great things about him). I also was able to do street parking easily and it didn’t take me like 30min to find the office (I always got lost at Rush because it’s such a big hospital). Another plus is that the staff was really nice and it seemed like he had a great relationship with them which is always a good sign in my book."
