"I did not have a good experience with Dr Frank taking care of my dad. We were told to go to the hospital for a blood transfusion and there was no direct order in by the doctor. When I called the service to ask Dr Frank to call the hospital and give them the order so my 90 year old dad did not have to repeat all the test that were already done as an outpatient the week prior he basically told me that he wouldn’t call and just to tell the ER doctor. Really? That’s not caring for your patient. We will be looking elsewhere for a new nephrologist. I’m totally taken back by a doctor who is on call that doesn’t take the time out for their patients. All he had to do was call them and my 90 year old dad wouldn’t have to sit in a hospital ER room for hours upon hours!"

"I have been going to see Dr. Barbato and Dr. Frank for many years. They were able to pick up what my other doctors couldn't and essentially prevented me from dialysis. I am grateful for their knowledge and their wonderful bedside manner. I recommend them."

"I am both a patient of this office and I worked with these doctors in the hospital setting. They are beyond superior, knowledgeable, professional, and very current in their management. I dispute some of the comments I see on the reviews as it is a very busy office in that this specialty is highly in demand, I encourage anyone with the nephrology issues to use anyone in this practice for the optimal care they deserve. I."

"I had to wait 6 weeks for an appointment and had no problem with that taking into account the specialty. What I did take issue with is I arrived 20 minutes early and this tiny office with no windows had many people in it. Besides people wearing masks there were no other protocols for social distancing in place nor did anyone who worked there care to enforce it or even open a door to allow fresh air in. I went to my car with my daughter and filled out the forms. My daughter asked how long the wait would be because it was now 45 minutes past my appointment time. She was told that they" can't say" and two people were still ahead of me so I walked out. Like I said I waited 6 weeks for this appointment there was no reason why I should be waiting 45 plus minutes to see a doctor. When my daughter asked about rescheduling they told her there was a 3 month wait. Which made me realize this wasn't the doctor for me. As I saw it if I have kidney failure and need a follow up appointment I would have to wait till next year...that is crazy. Good news I found a nephrologist within Northwell health that I see in 2 weeks. God is good and I must say every Northwell doctor or facility I go to is clean, meticulous and practices and implements excellent COVID-19 protocols."

"This Nephrology practice is fantastic. I see some bad reviews on this site about having to wait for an appointment, but there is a very good reason for that . Their office is very busy , because they provide excellent care . The physicians are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and explain everything in great detail. This is why there is a wait to get to see them . However, if you have a serious kidney issue or if your primary doctor calls them, they will get you in immediately. I have been coming here for years and I am very happy with the high quality care and attention I get ."
