About the Business
Welcome to Friends of the Library, a vibrant hub for literary enthusiasts located at 650 Central Avenue, Naples, Florida 34102. As a cornerstone of our community, we are dedicated to enhancing the resources and services of Collier County Libraries.
Important Update: Please note that our Local Author Book Fair has been postponed until after the holidays and may be canceled this year. Members will be informed via email once a decision is made.
We are thrilled to announce that our President, Cindy Ruddy, recently presented a generous donation of $75,000 to Catherine Cowser, the Library Director, to support our eBook collection, ensuring that our community continues to have access to a wide range of digital resources.
Operating Hours: From October 1 to April 30, we welcome you from 9:30 am to 1 pm, Monday through Friday.
Events and Fundraisers:
- Nick Linn Lecture Series: Join us for the twenty-first season of our main fundraising event. This series offers a unique opportunity to engage with renowned authors both virtually and in-person. Held at the Hilton Naples, these events cover diverse topics such as history, geography, and sports, featuring a breakfast buffet followed by captivating lectures.
- Author Spotlight Events: Located at The Norris Center in downtown Naples (755 8th Ave. S., Naples, FL 34102), these events showcase popular authors who will inspire and entertain with their stories and ideas. Make it a day by enjoying lunch at one of the many wonderful local restaurants before attending.
- Signature Series: This exclusive, member-only event features performances and lectures at our regional library locations. It's a chance to experience engaging presentations designed to stimulate and entertain.
At Friends of the Library, books are just the beginning of what makes Collier County Libraries exceptional. We invite you to join us in celebrating literature, culture, and community!
