Welcome to the practice of Dr. T. Richard Lieux Jr., MD, a dedicated and experienced physician committed to providing exceptional internal medicine care to the Baton Rouge community. Located at 7373 Perkins Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70808, Dr. Lieux brings over two decades of expertise to his patients, guiding them towards wellness and better health.
A native of New Roads, Louisiana, Dr. Lieux is an alumnus of Louisiana State University (LSU), where he completed his undergraduate studies in 1984 and earned his M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1989. Dr. Lieux further honed his skills at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he completed his internship and residency, eventually serving as Chief Resident.
Since returning to Baton Rouge in 1993, Dr. Lieux has been a vital part of The Baton Rouge Clinic, contributing to its leadership as a former President and Chairman of the Board. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Echocardiography and is a proud Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Lieux is also an active member of the American Society of Echocardiography and the American College of Physicians.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Lieux serves as the Medical Director of the Echo Lab at The Baton Rouge Clinic and Co-Director of Utilization Management at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. His commitment to the community extends beyond his medical practice, as he actively participates in the Volunteer Health Corps and is involved with St. Jude Catholic Church Parish and the Catholic High School Men’s Club.
When not attending to his patients or volunteering, Dr. Lieux enjoys spending quality time with his wife and four children and pursues hobbies such as woodworking and metalworking. Visit Dr. T.
