A native of New Orleans, Dr. Murad's academic journey began with an undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans, followed by her Medical Degree from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport in 2013. She further honed her skills in Internal Medicine through a residency at the University of Texas-Southwestern, completed in 2016. Her passion for Endocrinology led her to a Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Illinois-Chicago, which she completed in 2018.
Dr. Murad is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. Her professional affiliations include the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. Licensed to practice in both Illinois and Louisiana, Dr. Murad is excited to serve the Baton Rouge community.
Fluent in both English and Arabic, Dr. Murad is committed to providing personalized and comprehensive care to her patients. She is currently accepting new patients and is eager to help you manage your health, particularly in areas related to diabetes and prediabetes.
