"We went in to do some nipt testing($599.00) and the ladies were trying to rush us out after i had called to see if it was okay to come. I advised the lady on the phone exactly what time i would arrive and she said it was completely fine. We had questions and they kept dismissing us even though they didn’t know the answers. Simple questions like what trisomies exactly were being tested for. They took like 15 minutes just looking for a flyer and then said i couldn’t have the flyer as it was “confidential information”. The flyer literally said only informative material about what tests were included. I said how is that confidential? She ignores me. Then we asked about knowing the gender. The lady said it would be a separate charge($139.00). We decided not to add gender. How ever when it was time to pay she said we didn’t have a choice as it was included in the nipt testing but it was still a separate charge. So now i don’t have a choice? She said no, now i had no choice. So ridiculous to try to get overcharged for something you decide you do not want to add. On the flyer it clearly said that you could do the test with or without gender so I’m guessing this is why they would not let me have it. I took a picture of it. I ended up paying($738 + 3% card fee= $760) because i had driven out and i really wanted nipt testing done for my baby but what a terrible experience."
