With over 4000 joint replacement surgeries to his credit, he is a trusted name in orthopaedic care. He holds board certifications from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the American College of Sports Medicine. Notably, he is the only local elected member of both the Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons and the Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

Dr. Markovich is also a prolific author, with over 40 publications on joint replacements and biomechanics, and an esteemed speaker on arthritis, cartilage grafting techniques, and reconstructions of the pelvis, hip, and knee. As the Director of the Joint Restoration Research Laboratory, he is dedicated to advancing the practice of orthopaedic joint reconstruction.
