"I searched and searched for a physician who has pleasant & helpful office staff, one who is personable and available when needed and one who doesn’t make a patient wait 24 hrs for an answer to a simple question. Most of all, I wanted a physician who truly cares and understands me. I wanted a physician who wants to build a relationship and understand my needs, in person, not over a patient messaging portal. The entire office staff is absolutely wonderful! Everyone is friendly, available, welcoming, and supportive. Dr Alvarez is a bit quiet but he’s listening to what I’m saying and I believe he truly cares about all of his patients. Dr Alvarez is kind, gentle, understanding, and I hope I can keep him as my PCP for a very long time."

"One word, Horrible!!! They treat there patients like garbage rather then people, they play with peoples lives and medications, they have no respect and they are horrible to deal with. On top of everything, the woman they have running there front are so rude it’s not even funny. If you want to be treated like a kid the. By all means, use this office, if you want to be treated like an adult then you should probably do some more research"

"The staff is very prompt and attentive. They got me a first time appointment in less than a week. I had trouble with my prescriptions and they were prompt in responding to the issues. Dr. Alvarez is the best doctor I have ever seen. He is kind, attentive and thorough and unlike most doctors he actually listens to you. I used to live in Florida and he was my doctor then. I moved back to Maryland and finally came back to Florida. He hasn't seen me in nine years and he still remembered me and some of the health issues that I dealt with in the past. I highly recommend this doctor and his staff."

"Dr Alvarez always takes the time to listen to and address all of your issues or concerns. Very knowledgeable & sincere. He doesn't rush you out, so sometimes appts later in the day can run late. He is more concerned about the patient in front of him that the time clock. Some will appreciate this, some won't. I was a workaholic & had a lump on my neck that wasn't going away. He called me on his personal cell phone to tell me "I needed to get that taken care of". Turned out to be cancer & it was in the process of spreading. His compassion saved my life. "Dr. Alvarez has attended to my health care needs since I enrolled in MEDICARE 5 years ago. He is an excellent physician who is very thorough and takes plenty of time to meet with you and go over any questions or concerns you may have. You never feel like he is in a rush...perhaps due to such diligence on his part he may be a little late to see you at the exact appointed hour. But I think any wait is wait the benefit of having a thorough evaluation. When my 100 year old mother visited me last January and developed what turned out to be a Urinary Tract Infection, Dr. Alvarez saw her and prescribed the necessary treatment. She was very satisfied with his pleasant and gentlemanly treatment. She was able to communicate with him in her primary language, Spanish, which was a real plus."
