Whether you're planning a family adventure to Sun Splash Family Waterpark, a fishing trip at Lakes Park, or a shopping spree at the Edison Mall, we have a wide range of vehicles to suit your travel plans.
Take advantage of our special offer: enjoy one day free of daily time and mileage charges on an intermediate to full-size four-door car when you book a minimum three-day rental. Please note that taxes, concession recovery fees, and other charges are extra, and certain terms and conditions apply. This offer is valid at Avis locations across the contiguous U.S., excluding the New York Metro area, and requires an advance reservation.
Our Fort Myers location provides easy access to local attractions such as Eastwood Golf Course and the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, and is just a short drive from Southwest Florida International Airport. For added convenience, you can also return your vehicle at the Punta Gorda Regional Airport or any other Avis location in the Fort Myers area.
Our operating hours are as follows: Sunday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Please note that we are closed on major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

"The car he rented was a 12 passenger Ford van and they ended up giving me a Chevy express infested with cockroaches and I brought small children, it was a horrible experience, the employee's treatment was rude. "Never rent from Avis at Edison Mall, vehicle was not cleaned inside or out, and vehicle needed service. Took the vehicle because rented shortly before they closed. No one went over vehicle when I went out to it. Once saw it went to see if could exchange and closed early. When returned early lady was rude and said they dont have time to clean the vehicles."
"I didn’t know this place was so close to home and was conveniently located walking distance from where I was getting my car serviced before a business trip. Picking up a rental was fast and easy and the staff was friendly and resourceful. The vehicle ran well with no issues and was spacious and clean. Being able to rent unexpectedly and last minute so easily made my trip less stressful. I thought the pricing was decent and I’m happy with the service with Avis overall. I will definitely come back in the future."
"Only one issue I had. The agent told me she put the fuel tank at half full, but only had 70 miles til empty when i got in. I let it slide. But when I returned it, the paperwork said full tank. I was lied to. Make sure your paperwork matches what the car reads, NOT what the rep says. Other than that. It was an awesome experience. Great price and my car had 503 miles on it when I picked it up."
"Dropped off key in drop box because the attendant advised me to do so for "my convenience". But now I am being told to go to their website to process a claim to get my money back as I am charged for an extra day of rental. Good thing I took pictures of the vehicle being in their parking lot as evidence of the return date and time."
