About the Business

Cedar Key Seafarms

Welcome to Cedar Key Seafarms

Nestled in the serene waters off the coast of Cedar Key, Florida, Cedar Key Seafarms is a testament to a rich maritime heritage that dates back to the late 1800s. Located at 7450 Florida 24, Cedar Key, our family-owned business has thrived on the bounty of the sea, combining generations of expertise with a deep respect for nature.

At Cedar Key Seafarms, we specialize in farm-raising high-quality, delectable clams and oysters. Our commitment to environmental sustainability ensures that we work hand-in-hand with the sea, nurturing its resources to produce clean, flavorful seafood. Our clams, known for their sweetness, firmness, and perfect saltiness, are the result of meticulous care and innovative farming techniques honed since 1995.

Our story is one of resilience and adaptation. From a legacy of commercial fishing and stone crabbing to pioneering clam farming after the 1995 Florida Net Ban, the Davis family has consistently embraced change while preserving our roots. Today, under the stewardship of Mike and Heath Davis, we continue to uphold the standards and heritage passed down through generations.

Although we are a wholesale distributor and do not sell directly to the public, you can find our premium clams and Pelican Reef Oysters at local retailers like Publix. We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service and unwavering commitment to quality.

Cedar Key, a quaint island community rich in history, provides the ideal environment for our aquaculture endeavors. Its pristine waters, nourished by the Suwannee, Withlacoochee, and Wacassasa rivers, offer the perfect conditions for our clams and oysters to flourish. The community's dedication to preserving water quality, through initiatives like removing septic tanks and promoting Florida Friendly landscaping, aligns with our own values of environmental stewardship.

We invite you to discover the unique flavors of Cedar Key Seafarms, where our passion for the sea and commitment to sustainability ensure that every clam and oyster is a true reflection of the natural beauty and richness of Cedar Key.
