Vine + Sand

"What an incredible stay I had for a few days this summer. Booking my room and the communication with Mark and Johnny was an absolute breeze. The communication leading up to my check in was also simple, straightforward, and friendly. But once I arrived, I couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations. Not only is this bed-and-breakfast, more gorgeous in person than it appears in photographs, but the charming details really enhance the experience of staying here. Room was spotless. The heated pool was the perfect temperature. The snacks and drinks in the well knocked pantry area were absolutely delicious. The tasteful decor and beautiful art pieces were absolutely beautiful. The amenities in my Bedroom were luxurious. I used a shark hairdryer here! That’s pretty awesome. Even the umbrellas they had at the door to use during the rain were fantastic, especially since it rained while I was there and I got to use them! I really enjoyed getting to know Mark and Johnny, they’re excellent hosts, friendly, smart, had wonderful recommendations for the area. They stayed out of sight, but were there the minute I needed them. I’m in the North Fork frequently and I definitely plan on coming back."

"My husband and I stayed here for a retreat to Long Island wine country and the entire experience was truly amazing! Highlights include walking/biking to wineries, walking to the beach, watching the rain from the front porch, and the daily breakfast spread. The eggs served each morning are from the chickens on the property and are perhaps the best I’ve ever had. The hosts also have a delightful dog named Beatrix who kept sneaking out while we were eating to get pets!"

"My husband and I stayed at Vine + Sand in late June, and we cannot say enough amazing things about our experience. Our room and the entire home was beautifully and charmingly renovated, breakfast was delicious, the room was filled with thoughtful touches, and the pool and hot tub were lovely. And Johnny and Mark are wonderful people and fantastic hosts (and they offer amazing recommendations!). Vine + Sand is perfectly located on the North Fork. We walked to the beach (and stopped at a winery on the way back), dined at Southold’s delicious restaurants, enjoyed happy hours on the water, and visited the extremely close town of Greenport. We highly recommend Vine + Sand and cannot wait to return!"

"We went to an art opening and enjoyed the host's welcoming and food. The grounds and common areas were well maintained and beautifully decorated. Check out the wood inlay floors and large floor planks. The art was nicely displayed in the two downstairs rooms, the hallway, and the upstairs foyer. We did not see any apartments, but their web page shows them. Aside from the selections of wine and water, there were some local.beers from Greenport brewery. Nice touch."
