"I wanted to have a good experience with this realtor. We made very clear our expectations from the beginning of our search. He was very prompt, professional and helped us a lot in terms of understanding our lease. However, there was false advertising involved in order to close the deal which still does not sit well with me. We were promised certain upgrades would be made to the building, the most important one a washer and dryer were being installed. We had turned down other properties due to there being no units on premises, but we trusted him and his promises that all the work would be completed. We even have in writing the landlord would install the units, our mistake was not making sure it was included in the lease. On the day we moved, there were no units installed on the premises and the landlord even told us that he wasn’t completely sure if he wanted to install the units. I wish there was a little more transparency around the situation and we would have picked somewhere else to live however we were not given that choice. Now, we are 3 weeks into our lease with no definite date on when we will see the units installed. The landlord estimated about 3 weeks but still unsure if that is the case. I have been traveling back and forth to NJ to do laundry because of this oversight due to a medical condition. I am extremely disappointed with this entire situation and I wish we were given all the available information."
