"Horrible customer service experience recently. I have been coming here for several years. Recently I brought my favorite winter coat to be mended and cleaned. The owner/manager lost a removable part of the coat, that I myself have NEVER removed in 5 years of having the coat. (The faux fur trim lining the hood, without which I would not have kept the coat.) Instead of owning up to it, and just saying sorry I’ll look into it, the immediate response was to say that he would have written it on the ticket if it had fur trim because “that’s his system for 20 years,” and just CONTINUING to lean into this and give excuses, after I reiterated I have never removed that part of the coat. And what would be my motive to lie about that?!? After a tremendous amount of back and forth, and push back, he said he would contact the “factory” (I guess the items aren’t even dry cleaned on site) and see if they had it. After two more sickeningly rude, condescending interactions with him, guess what was found - the faux fur trim. He never ONCE apologized, what else offered a partial or full refund (I paid $65 for the coat to be cleaned and mended) if it turned out the missing part of the coat was not located. He was consistently so rude, condescending and belittling to me, a long term paying customer, that I wondered if some of his hateful and degrading attitude toward me had to do with the fact that I’m Black, and a woman at that. It will always make me wonder. The level of rudeness and disrespect was appalling. I will NEVER come back to this business again. There are plenty of other dry cleaners in the area. BEWARE."
