Welcome to River Front Park

Located on Lawrence Street in the charming city of Rahway, New Jersey, River Front Park offers a serene escape into nature within Union County's extensive park system. As a vibrant hub for both passive and active recreation, our park is a treasured community resource, providing a perfect setting for relaxation, exploration, and enjoyment.

Important Updates:

- Echo Lake Dog Park Improvements: We are excited to announce that enhancements to Echo Lake Dog Park will commence on Thursday, August 15, 2024. To ensure safety and the successful completion of these upgrades, the dog park will be temporarily closed to the public. We anticipate reopening by the end of January 2025. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve this beloved space for our community.

Ticket Reservations:

Guests can easily reserve tickets by scanning the QR Code located on signage throughout the park or by visiting [ucnj.org/reserve](http://ucnj.org/reserve). Please check the county homepage and our Facebook page for any operational changes, especially during inclement weather.

"Not well maintained. The grass was not cut. The path was overthrown with weds and grass. Some equipment was broken. BUGS. I was getting eaten alive. The only rain I went here was for 2 geocaches- fit for life one and fit for life too. I do not plan to ever return."

"This delightful little park is now home to the Rahway River Watershed Association Learning Center which is comprised of a smartly renovated house which services as the Learning Center and several newly planted gardens all along the banks of the Rahway River. There is a rain garden, a pollenator garden and a moth garden with plants clearly labeled. The center is full of information about the Watershed and it's flora, fauna and history. There is also an outstanding display of nature photos by local photographer, Jacki Dickert. The park is well worth a visit."

"River Front Park is a bike/walking trail along side the river in Rahway. Hidden from traffic, the entrance is right near Route 1. The view is scenic if you are not afraid that it is so isolated from view. Definitely worth seeing the City from the Incinerator side."
