Union County's Wheeler Spray Park

"A really fabulous spray park. The sprinklers and slides are exciting. I went with a few kids of different ages (infant, toddler and teenager) and there was enough for everyone to enjoy. There is a small dry playground for kids to play while drying off. A lot of space to sit. Very nice layout allowing a lot of access to the spray ground while watching the kids and walking around. Three important notes: 1. There is not enough parking so prepare to park on the street. Some employees park on the grass but if a visitor parks there they will call the cops and tow/ ticket. 2. They have a very limited capacity. It makes the experience better (since it won’t get overcrowded) but it means that if you arrive after it’s full you will have to WAIT UNTIL ANOTHER GROUP LEAVES. This could be any amount of time. We waited about 15 minutes but within the hour after we got in the line had tripled in length. It was hot with nowhere to sit while waiting. I’m assuming Sundays are extra crowded (we went on a Sunday) but I think this is generally an important detail to keep in mind. Try to get there when they open or prepare for a long wait, help prepare your kids to have patience and bring snacks or activities to do while waiting. 3. There is little to no shade. Bring chairs or blankets and umbrellas because it gets very sunny. Despite all this we had a wonderful time and like I said, limiting the capacity means that once you’re inside it’s a very pleasant experience with a nice staff to guest ratio and not too much overcrowding. Oh, they also don’t allow balls or glass, but they do provide a room to put them so if you forget you don’t have to go back to the car and lose your spot to get in, but I would just avoid bringing those. It’s a gated off spray park so there isn’t really any space or use for other toys."

"Such a wonderful splash park!! There is so much space to sit and relax, so many activities for kids of all ages. I was so impressed with the small waterslides they have and my son was even more impressed!! We will definitely be back now that we know how awesome and close it is!!"

"This is a great little splash pad for kids. Super cute, VERY clean, and well staffed. We paid 4/kid & 6/adult. The different sprinklers were great, I just wish v there's more shade for parents. On a hot day bring your own chair & umbrella and don't forget snacks!"
