Located at Pier 3 Greenway Terrace, this unique park and tourist attraction invites visitors to relax and take in the breathtaking views from a terrace crafted from salvaged stones of the Roosevelt Island and Willis Avenue Bridges.

Getting Here:

While parking is limited, Granite Terrace is easily accessible via public transportation. Choose from several convenient bus routes, including the B25 at Fulton Ferry Landing, B61 at Atlantic Avenue and Hicks Street, B63 near Pier 6, or B67 at Jay Street and York Street. For those who prefer cycling, nearby CitiBike stations are available at Atlantic Ave & Furman St (Pier 6), Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 2, Old Fulton St (Pier 1), and Water St & Main St (Main Street). Additionally, the East River route to DUMBO/Fulton Ferry and the South Brooklyn Route to Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6/Atlantic Avenue or DUMBO/Fulton Ferry provide scenic ferry options.

Facilities are conveniently located throughout the park, with restrooms available at Pier 6 at Fornino, in Quay Tower, the Boathouse in the Pier 5 Uplands, the orange building on Pier 2, under Squibb Bridge, at Empire Stores in Empire Fulton Ferry, and in the 99 Plymouth Environmental Education Center.

Weddings and Photography:

Granite Terrace provides a stunning backdrop for wedding ceremonies, which can be held on the Pier 1 Granite Prospect, the Empire Fulton Ferry boardwalk, and at the Main Street pebble beach. Please note that permits are required for wedding ceremonies and commercial photo shoots or groups larger than 20. Visit our Permits section for more information on the application process.

"Really beautiful view at sunset, over the water. Lots of greenery and paved for skates and easy running. Lots of bright lights along the path, so i felt safe as a single girl as the sun set. Lots of people with kids, too."

"If you have ever seen these pictures on Instagram I could never figure out where the spot was here it is. There is parking at the higher ground level for about two dollars an hour on a street parking lot. Or you could also park near the Brooklyn Bridge area where there’s cobblestone for metered or street parking."
