"Incredibly rude and pretentious staff on the first floor (not towards the violations bureau, the other half). One star is definitely par for the course. Genuinely feel bad for tax payers that have to count on these public employees for constituent services. Pls offer these employees early retirement through a buyout of sorts so that the city services can thrive, they seem to forget who they work for."

"For the city of Garfield don’t ever let these tyrants officials rule over you with laws like ( 2218-8 No parking 3am-6am W/O resident parking permit ) this pretty much violate my rights to travel and Don’t even live there can’t even visit family there. A priest can be a better judge then the judge here."

"I was racially profiled. Expensive tickets were given to me when I made no illegal offense. I was driving normal yet cops claims I was driving carelessly. Two tickets one for careless driving and another for failure to show documentation even though I asked if it was ok to show my insurance from my phone which the officer agreed yet still gave me the ticket. It is sickening to think that even when you’re driving legally with all your documents that you still get treated unfairly. I tried reaching out before my court hearing yet they fined me for missing court and suspended my license. This is not justice this is modern day oppression. I can’t even reach them to pay for something I’m innocent of but I need my license to get to work. Hard working people being treated like this is wrong."

"innocent people are encouraged to plead guilty and are coerced or threatened with further or added convictions if they wish to use their right to have a trial. prosecutor (specifically the white older male prosecutor) has repeatedly shown that they do not care for actual justice for people, but only favors the state even when they are wrong/mistaken. the ways i have witnessed the prosecutor speak with civilians, regardless if they are innocent or guilty, is unprofessional and degrading. prosecutor does not seek justice but to wrongly convict and that’s such a shame and i hope someone can do something about this. as a local, the town deserves better. do better! and to those who wish to go through with a trial to prove your genuine innocence, i send you lots of good luck and confidence to go through with it. if you know you are innocent or have proof or can afford a lawyer etc- do it! do not let the prosecutor convince you that you can’t win, it’s not easy but you can win with/without representation. if you believe there’s nothing that can properly support your case, negotiate or convince prosecutor to give you a low plea bargain deal, sending love to the many who were pressured or forced to plead guilty to something they never did, karma and justice will work out for everyone "
