"The Suffolk county bus system is a complete mess. I have never seen anything like it anywhere in the world. The stops aren't marked the IT is convoluted and the drivers are rude. This is a great example of complete incompetence at multiple levels. I hope the voters hold the Public Management accountable. I'm sure the mismanagement is wide spread if they can't get this right."

"Your recently added route #10 Amityville-Babylon does not contribute or benefit to citizens living in non commercial areas where these huge air polluters pass by on their way to its final destination contaminating the air. I live in one of their routes crossing throughout Herzel Blvd and many times during the day when one of this polluters pass by they are always empty, the only human you see inside is the person driving it. Please be considerate and stop waisting citizen's taxes on something not beneficial to them. Check your statistics for ridership to evaluate the elimination or rerouting of this new bus route which is not supposed to be crossing and contaminating our neighborhoods."

"I started riding Suffolk Bus 15 years ago when kids were little for many many years. I was in Atlanta past 7 years but had to come back for family reasons. The Bus system on Long Island is a joke. It bearly exists to help. My other Bus system (Marta) was amazing. They were going to 11pm, Bus drivers don't speak to customers unless helping. I found Long Island drivers talking too much at people and rude. I have been stranded before at 5-6pm when some buses end. They should go until 11-12 pm. The routing is horrendous and one Bus comes to my street in the morning and maybe one at night (7B). You could NEVER commute to work etc. Extremely unreliable. I find it laughable."

"I spent most of my life from age 40 and under within Suffolk County, NY and I'm very familiar with Suffolk County Transportation (public buses.) The last decade I've been in and out of state and just recently I returned back to NY. Needless to say I'm very disappointed with the bus system and this is mainly due to the inadequate time scheduling as it exists currently. Supposedly, the change came about due to Covid19 and so the hours of operation have been shortened with many routes. It's quite obvious that the world is going to be living with Covid19 no different than the Flu. Yet many businesses including SCT are still ( 2 years later) providing less than fully functional services even this present day. The customer isn't receiving a discount on services though. The bus fare has remained the same. "They ruin my everyday. I plan on missing every bus at least once, so if I have one bus and a transfer, I leave 4 hours earlier so I am able to recover from both busses being missed at least once, if they come at all. On average, the bus system gets you places at a rate of about 3 to 5 miles and hour. Today, I actually caught the first bus and was in time for my transfer, but the connecting bus broke down, rendering the entire route inoperable for god knows how long, so I am taking the LIRR to another station to catch another bus in another town. My original ETA was 10 am but now I am going to hopefully arrive at noon, plus the cost of a train ticket and another bus fare. So, I am paying about 6 extra bucks to arrive 2 hours late, if the next bus actually comes on time. About 1/3 of schedules busses don't come."
