"Updated: still no contact or response from this company regarding the items they lost. Their reply to this review contact them is a joke. I’ve been contacting you and you haven’t replied. I already mentioned this in my first review. What are you scared of!? I have used Flatrate to move three times and the most recent move from FL to TX has been horrible. They lost some valuable items and refuse to provide me with information regarding where my items are. They aren’t answering my emails nor are they returning my phone calls. I’m beyond disappointed they won’t take accountability for losing valuable items during a basic move. Where are my items and how did they just disappear from the warehouse for pickup!? The fact they blatantly aren’t calling me back or communicating with me is wild! I’m simply asking where are my things and if you can’t account for them, replace them at full cost. Fear flatrate, why are you dodging the questions instead of doing what is right!? Where are my missing items!?"

"This company completed our military move from NY to TX. My stuff was packed poorly—we had a different moving company the day prior who was great but told us flat rate would be packing the rest and moving it. I am giving 2 stars because the driver who arrived in Texas was super nice & personable and one of the crew members in NY were also very nice. They sent a team of 6 to my NY home and somehow stuff was still packed poorly. My top load boxes were ALL smashed, my kitchen table was broken, my dryer legs are all broken off, my beds are all missing hardware and the guy said, “oh it is just for a kid so it will hold him.” I tipped them, fed them, gave them drinks and still our items were handled poorly. Would never recommend this company again. Very disappointed."

"I moved from Jersey City to Edgewater/Cliffside park area in March 2024. FlatRate did a EXCEPTIONAL job!!! Their people were professional and polite from start to finish. They nicely accommodated our on the fly request. I hired FlatRate Moving for a PACK and SHIP of a 4BR/3Bath (4 level) brownstone home. They came on a Monday to pack and returned the next day (Tuesday) to ship. Same crew both days. The team lead Daniel was excellent! He was super organized, in command of his team, friendly and patient. His team clearly liked him a lot too. They finished both days of packing and shipping early than his estimate. They finished each day by 5pm. Their pricing was the best after getting 3 quotes. I will use FlatRate for all my local moving going forward."

"My moving experience could not have been any smoother or more pleasant, and that’s a hard thing to say because moving is inherently a pain in the neck. My team of Brian, Rigo, and Angel We’re superb! They were fast, very thorough and professional, and they could not have been nicer! If there was an option for six stars, they would definitely be worthy of it!"

"I needed movers super fast because of a flood at my storage and I called Flat Rate Moving because I had used them previously. Dejon helped me set it up and was able to schedule it for the next day! Even with the rush, Dejon worked within my budget and everything went amazingly well! The guys were super professional! I told the guy that worked stacking everything in the truck he was Jenga because he did an amazing job organizing and stacking all my boxes and bins! I completely felt like the guys took care of my belongings and even though they were moving boxes that were already packed and didn’t know what was inside, they handled everything with care! Thank you for helping me!"
